– Bryon Sawyer opened in prayer.

– Pastor Ben Landes emphasized the importance of the role of the annual mid-year meeting and keeping people updated throughout the year and not just at the annual meeting. Mentioned it will not be long like the Annual Meeting.

Time of Celebration

– People in the Church interested in baptism.

– People accepting Christ.

– Continued growing relationship with the apartments next door Concord Reserve.

Financials

– Assistant Treasurer Ron Rae gave an update on the financials. Everything is good.

– Pastor Ben Landes emphasized the ups and downs of the summertime and typically higher expenditures such as Vacation Bible School etc. Thanked people for their giving.

Ministry Highlight

– Adult Discipleship

– Children & Youth: Ashley Landes, Venessa Therrien and Randy Zink emphasized kids from outside the Church coming to our weekly Youth Meeting. The make up about half of the kids attending. Conversations with the young people have revealed that they find Youth Group to be an exciting and safe space. We have committed leaders who are touching kids lives through consistently meeting, providing structure and Biblical Teachings. Pastor Ben Landes gave specific praise for Ronny McIver’s faithfulness.

– Venessa Therrien pointed out the attendance of visitors at this year’s Vacation Bible School.

– People are hungry for The Word of God and a Church where it is found.

– Kim gave praise about being thankful for Biblical teaching to not just adults but kids too. It’s hard to find a Church like that.

Facilities

– Highlighted what’s already been done and future needs.

– Tina Peay mentioned she and her husband John Peay keep an eye on the Church from their nearby apartment and call the police if someone lingers too long on the grounds. She is thankful for the lighting we have in the parking lot area.

Outreach/Community Service

– Pastor Ben Landes officially let the congregation know we will no longer be serving with local ministry Tommy’s Foundation but encouraged those who want to continue to serve to do so. The reason given was the amount of work involved outweighs the size of the congregation.

– Jon Therrien took a moment to thank the congregation for their love for the community and what a blessing it has been.

– Pastor Ben Landes emphasized that the apartment managers at Concord Reserve know we care and that this is a safe space.

PEAK Reflections

– Pastor Ben Landes went over a streamlined version of what came out of the PEAK process coached by Pastor Ben Marsh. Emphasizing what came out of the survey filled out by the congregation and questions asked of the community.

– Melanie Sawyer commented that she’s never been in a Church that had an evaluation like this. Taking everyone’s experience into account and honing it and fine tuning it.

– Kim Hardister asked if there were any ideas for reaching the Air Force Community or roadmap?

– Pastor Ben Landes said we will start building that roadmap and creating those ideas by asking questions.

– Kevin Davis said to check into Clergy Flights

– Kim Hardister mentioned the Goldsboro Facebook page and what people are looking for on there in regard to Churches. Emphasized that we aren’t like bigger Churches and that’s ok! Thanked Venessa Therrien for plugging our Church on said site.

– Anne Finch gave insight to the fact that Air Force Families tend to stay close when they go to a new place. They confer with each other on where to go. Our Church used to be in favor with the Air Force Community and Faith Alliance was the Church that was recommended, but for whatever reason that has changed. She said we should pray the favor returns.

– Amanda Unruh mentioned that bigger Churches get on their radar and there are lots of Church options out there. Prayer is needed.

– Increase visibility in the community.

Pastor Ben Landes closed the meeting in prayer.
